Introducing Madam Pascua

My father was assigned to introduce the guest speaker in the moving up ceremony of the school where he is working. I helped him and this is the way he introduced the speaker. #SchoolYearClosing

Our guest speaker is a native of this beautiful barangay who was born on December 1, 1971. She lived simply in this place with her parents Romeo C. Garibay Sr. and Redemta C. Garibay and her siblings Romelia, Romy, Romeo, Ricardo and Tony. During her early days, she belonged to the family of have-nots.  The socio- economic status did not impede her in attaining success. She is an epitome of a successful person who used education as a tool in uplifting oneself and family.

Our guest speaker has an impressive educational background. She studied in Tondol Elementary School and graduated as the valedictorian of her batch in March 1984. During her high school days, she excelled a lot and finished as valedictorian in March 1988. She yearned for higher education at Luzon Colleges as a BS Accountancy student for a year. After that, she changed her trail and her feet brought her to Pangasinan Memorial College. There, she pursued Elementary Education course and garnered her diploma in April 1993. She augmented her learning in Adelphi College Graduate School finishing Master of Arts major in Educational Management.

In the world of profession, our guest speaker is very competent. She passed Career Sub- Professional Examinations on October 20, 1991 with a rating of 83. 49%. She took Professional Board Examination for Teachers on May 30, 1993 garnering a rating of 78. 87%. Thus, it gave her a license to teach.

She started her career as a classroom teacher in the college where she graduated from June 2, 1993 to April 2, 1994. She entered the public education as a Teacher I in San Ramon Elementary School located at Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna. She found her way back home as she worked as Teacher I in Carot Elementary School from February 21, 2000 and ended September 27, 2005. She moved in Lingayen and pursued her career as Teacher I in Lingayen I Central School, Maniboc, Lingayen, Pangasinan from September 28, 2005 to March 6, 2007.

Due to her diligence, she was promoted as Teacher III in the same school from March 7, 2007 to March 17, 2014. She rose from the ranks as she received her appointment as Principal I of Caniogan Elementary School and San Nicholas Elementary School, Poblacion, Anda, Pangasinan last March 18, 2014 and currently serving both elementary schools.

Her passion and dedication through the years became fruitful as she received Outstanding SPG Adviser award in Lingayen I Central School and Outstanding Teacher School Year 2015 in Lingayen I District.
